Virgin Hair Facts

1. Non-Processed Virgin Remy Human Hair also known as cuticle hair is hair that has been cut from a single donor's scalp and left untreated except for cleansing for sanitation. The hair is then wefted, left as a pony intact for bulk braiding hair, ventilated for a wig or bonded in the same direction the pony was cut to insure all cuticles are laying in the same direction. This hair is not mixed with any other donor's hair. This hair is single drawn and there may be a mix of long and short hairs.

You may find occasional gray hair in your hair system and this is one of the ways you can tell you have virgin cuticle human hair. Another way to tell is by taking a look at the hair under a microscope. You will see the hair cuticles or "feathers" going in the same direction aginst the hair shaft.

You will feel the virgin cuticle hair is slightly denser than the common non - cuticle hair because cuticle is still intact. This hair can be colored, permed and withstand high temperatures. The life of this hair can be anywhere between 1 to 5 years. This hair may be taken down and worn again when properly maintained. 

2. Virgin Hair Color Hues range from natural blacks to dark and light browns and blondes with possible natural highlights. When buying virgin hair please know we will send you the darkest dark browns or lightest shades we carry but each donors head is different, one might have been exposed to sun longer than another. Don't choose light brown and then be unhappy because it's "too brown" this is the risk you carry when buying virgin cuticle human hair. 3. Processed Virgin Remy Hair is also long lasting. Chemical processes are best on virgin cuticle hair because it reacts as natural hair on our scalp does. The hair comes in a variety of textures and colors , request as you desire, may need custom.

4. Non - Virgin Remy Tangle Free Hair is most commonly used in the hair industry. The resource used is fallen mixed cuticle hair. The cuticles are removed to insure no tangling and matting. The hair can also be very long lasting, 8 months to 1 year depending on care. This hair is for those who seek true solid colors such as jet blacks or beach blonde hair in silky straight or a variety of other textures.

5. Moisture Moisture MOISTURE! Hair off the scalp can never have enough moisture as its no longer attached and receiving our natural scalp oils.

6. Never use sulfate products or sulfate shampoos on any hair even your own!! These harsh chemicals can strip any moisture and natural luster the hair has left. Only use sulfate free conditioners to gentle wash the hair. Reinforce the hair's strength with a keratin leave in conditioner spray and natural oils like Avocado and Virgin Coconut.    

7. Do not wash any hair system daily, or even weekly if not needed. Did I mention moisture? Surprisingly water takes away moisture from hair and skin! 

8. When combing any hair system do so gently, ripping through any tangles from top to bottom is never recommended. Please start at the ends of your hair and work your way up gently!
